It has been quite some time since I wrote on this blog. This whole final year at medical school makes it hard to get things done.
And despite that we have more followers than ever – clearly Harry is doing something right.
Anyway, behind all of Harry’s work I have been scheming. Three plots are starting to form in my head:
The rules of necromunda have dropped and the chaos cultists ones are coming out in May. I’m very excited! If anyone’s got any thoughts on the game I would dearly love to hear them.
The plan for the necromunda cultists would to be expand my current cultist mob with some Goliath models from the set. Maybe split it with someone and grab the extra arms (I think they’re forgeworld? – correct if I’m). And then the goliath cultists can be special/heavy weapons and champions in the main game and the cultists can be bodies in necromunda (well – in both, the scrawny bastards do nothing but die)
2 Moar Tanks!
I have been eyeing up some new shiny tanks – either a predator pair, superheavy tank, or knight. Of course I have lots of armour and my army always feel… stodgy… which might be why. Or the reliance on havocs – pretty cool dudes, but I can’t have mobile heavy fire from them. The predators make a pretty decent alternative – more wounds and toughness and a similar heavy weapon output. So obviously from a competitive standpoint they are probably a step up.
The other two options are a bit flashier and would make a great centrepiece and everyone knows that looking cool is the most important bit.
3 Moar Legions
I’ve been toying with the idea of adding units from other legions to my force as allied detachments – World Eaters berzerkers or Night Lords raptors etc.
This first started with finding this: http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Blood_Wolves
Aren’t they so cool! Bronze with red and cream markings, wild hair khorne berzerkers running around like nutters.
I mean they aren’t proper World Eaters but close enough? Nutters are nutters are nutters after all.
The other idea I had was very very recent. I saw someone had converted one of the custodes jetbikes into a chaos lord. Now I thought a “King of The Furies” leading warp talons, raptors, and bikes from atop his ancient warp corrupted jetbike would be metal AF.
So so metal….
Now that is a Night Lords force ready to pillage and terrify the bloated Imperium.
I’m still undecided which way to go, although I am definitely making the jetbike Lord. He’s so cool…
Any thoughts lovely readers?
